Overview
EA Sphere provides enterprise architecture mapping, change and impact logs, degradation management and business continuity management in Jira. All four work from one map of your organization's systems, servers, interfaces and facilities and the dependencies between them.
| Capability | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Enterprise architecture mapping | The records, the catalog and the dependency map (sections 4 and 5). |
| Change and impact logs | The EA Sphere panel on Jira work items, the Work items page, each record's change log and the Change log report (sections 4, 6 and 13). |
| Degradation management | Degradations, notices and the Degradation report (sections 7, 8 and 13). |
| Business continuity management | The continuity documents, recovery and tabletop exercises, and Learning (sections 9 to 12). |
EA Sphere appears in three places in Jira:
| Where | What it provides |
|---|---|
| Apps menu, EA Sphere | The full product: dashboard, map, work items, catalog, calendar, reports, continuity and, for Jira administrators, settings. |
| EA Sphere panel on each Jira work item | The systems a work item touches and the impact assessment for it. |
| Settings tab in EA Sphere; Configure on EA Sphere's entry in the site's apps | Settings, available to Jira administrators as a tab in EA Sphere. Site administrators can also open it with Configure on EA Sphere's entry in Manage apps or, in Atlassian Administration, under Apps, Sites, your site, Connected apps. |
